A new year is here and I am hoping that things settle down for me so that I can get back to painting.  I know it has been quite a while since I have added any new paintings.  That is because I have not been painting!  I have had many changes in my life in the last year (actually the last several years) and I have been trying to get back into my "painting space".  I haven't been able to find it lately, but I am hoping that will change very soon.
I have moved from Colorado back to my home state of California.  I have my studio set up in the house and it is ready and waiting for me.  It is always somewhat intimidating to start a new painting when so much time has passed since I last picked up a brush to paint.
I think that the feeling is beginning to hit me....I have actually gone into my studio a few times in the last several days.  That is progress!
Soon I hope to have something new to post.  I keep wondering if my style will be the same or if all of the things I have gone through lately will cause my style to be somewhat different.  I guess only time will tell....when I finally put paint to paper and see what happens.
Hope to see you soon!
